Joe Smith is President and CEO of Smith Brothers Insurance and has developed his agency into one of the largest insurance, risk management, and financial services firms in New England.

Joe is a forward-thinking entrepreneur and has consistently led the growth of Smith Brothers at a rate of more than 14% per year for the last 20 years. Smith Brothers’ is known for its “Be Sure Promise”, community-based commitment, and culture that revolves around helping others. Under Joe’s leadership, Smith Brothers has grown to nearly 220 colleagues with locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York, doing business across the United States.

Joe is a frequent speaker at insurance industry events and dedicates his time to leadership roles in a variety of philanthropic and business endeavors. He is a founding member of Kids For Kids Connecticut, a Trustee for the Boys & Girls Club of Hartford, and he is an active member of the International Young Presidents’ Organization, Palm Beach Gold Chapter.

Joe holds several industry designations including CPCU, ARM, Connecticut Licensed P&C Consultant, Life & Health Broker, and Excess & Surplus Lines Broker. He is also CEO for Smith Brothers Financial, a full-service Registered Investment Advisory firm in Connecticut managing over 750 million in assets for companies and households.

Joe is a graduate of St. Anselm College and holds a Bachelors degree in Economics.
